Hi!

I have a silver/white USB apple slim keyboard that worked fine in intrepid bit setting "Swap keycodes misdetected by kernel" in "Miscellaneous compatibility options" in System->Keyboard->Layout->Layout Options.

In Jaunty this option is no longer available and thus "<" and "^" key are swapped now.

Is there any way to fix that other than poking around with xmodmap? Why has this option been removed (and the kernel not fixed...)?

Thanks,
Johannes

I've got the same problem, browsing through the Internet doesn't give any solution, but maybe a hint.

I read about a guy from UK who told it works perfektly so maybe the "misdirected keys" are a german problem.

So far ....

Hi all, I have the same problem. however, I'm using an spanish apple keyboard. The swapped keys are < and . Besides this, the f1 through f12 keys have a "strange" behavior... they are assigned to control the brightness, the volume level, etc... buty I do need those keys to use programs like TeXmacs (f2 to open, f to save, f6 to go in bold math, and son and...).

Anyone any idea. I've been looking in the net, without any result.

regards,

JC
