Refreshing the Ubuntu Logo, not heaps, just a bit!

Hey all, I've been thinking and I reckon the Ubuntu logo needs a little bit of a re-fresh, it's not much of a change, mainly font, but what do you think?

No. Done well, but Ubuntu logo is "circle". The one with text is the one with text, not the main logo. The "double-logo" will disturb.

Can you provide us with the .svg
This is definitely getting there.. but not quite, I'd recommend you to upload the source files always along with your stuff so we can modify it (unless if you want no help..... then that is also ok)

Heh... SVG I assume is a vector thing. SO I probably made some mistake by making this in Photoshop hey? I can upload the PSD if you want, but sorry i have no idea how to make it a vector image :(

Edit: Wait.. I think I have a working SVG, I am kinda new to vector stuff, much better in PS, I have an SVG (I think), but its sideways..., so is the *.ai file, will post!

Yes, i meant that circle is an indepent logo.

It's pretty personal understanding of it. though.

Personally, I don't care for the font you've chosen, especially with the "U" capitalised but the first people to speak to are the Artwork Team (https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Artwork#Getting%20Involved). There are some rules on the logo though that stipulate what Canonical will allow, so I'd check with the Artwork Team.

I agree. It's a bit mashed. I never thought the original ubu logo was a perfect marriage though..
If the colours were mixed up a little more, then perhaps..
