Logitech Quickcam Communicate drivers help

I tried using the past tutorials, but after installing a bunch of directories and new headers, the directories I wanted to access were non-existent. I use version 8.10, and I would like to use Skype 2.0 or Kopete to make business calls. The camera is recognized in Ekiga and sometimes on Stickam, but nothing else. Any help? I have a Logitech Quickcam Communicate. Thanks.

I have the same webcam and it doesn't even appear as an usb device. I've tried plugging it in different usb ports and it doesn't appear. Another webcam the Quickcam Messenger is detected immediately. Also I installed both the gspca-source and the qc-usb-source packages. Any ideas?
