Hi guys,
Is the login screen (9.04) going for minimalist? It missed!
I can't critisize much coz, I didn't really give anything to the community. But I want to, I'm noobie at the moment.
But this is what I was thinking:
At login, the screen has some light hues, nothing as strong as current, but dark too. the only really noticeable thing, would be the login box in centre, and above it, a small pixel ubu logo.
Upon hitting enter after password, the logo gets up and animates. Perhaps starting to spin slowly giving off sparks and electricity, till it combusts, at which point your desktop is loaded, or perhaps it starts shimmering and a wave appears and washes away the logo, by which time, your desktop has loaded..
Basically, these small pixel ani's would be random, and be ye.. pure pixel made.

Pixel art is timeless, and I think it would add a grade of quality to ubu which, can't be compared :O
Why I post instead of just do it? Well.. I don't know how to go about it. Would anyone know ? :]
