View Full Version : [ubuntu] gtk-button-images ignored?

I've always used 'gtk-button-images' to disable (stock) icons on buttons. Now, with Ubuntu 9.04 this setting has no effect anymore. At least putting 'gtk-button-images = 0' in '~/.gtkrc-2.0' nor in '/usr/share/themes/[xxx]/gtk-2.0/gtkrc' does not bring a much welcomed riddance from this ugly icons :s.

Any solution?

You can use gnome-control-center to turn off button images

You can use gnome-control-center to turn off button images

Where is this option? I think that gnome-control-center is just a categorized view of the 'Preferences' and 'Administration' items.

Does anyone know if this GNOME option is suppose to replicate into Xubuntu 9.04? I can't get the icons to disappear for love or money.

Just bumping this on the off-chance that someone has managed to turn off button icons in xubuntu (Jaunty or higher)
