I want to flash my BIOS in my dell mini 9. I ran into this article about flashing my dell mini 9's Ubuntu:

http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/systems/ins910/en/sm/bios.htm#wp1084976

just wondering, do I need a USB flash drive for this?

and as for downloading the BIOS file:
http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/systems/ins910/en/sm/bios.htm#wp1084976

which one I am suppose to download?

(I tried looking everywhere on mydellmini.com, launchpad,) no help to figuring it out.

There is a Linux tool to flash BIOS updates available. Unfortunately it is not compatible with the Mini 9 MB. I was hoping to give DELL a push in the right direction. They opted for a Free DOS version. I have yet to flash my BIOS with the update, but I know some people have.

I've used a DOS-bootable usb stick and have at one time or another flashed every bios version onto my mini 9, including A05 on release day. It seems to work fine.

This launchpad question (https://answers.launchpad.net/dell-mini/+question/60269) has answers that describe multiple methods for flashing the bios. One method uses a USB stick, and the other uses the Dell diagnostics partition (for those who still have it).
