View Full Version : [ubuntu] canging keyboard languages!

hello there ubunters im getting annoyed lately about languages . im using two languages russian and english and the problem is that i dont know how to switch between them very quick for example in windows i can do it by prssing shift+alt buttons how can i do it in ubuntu if i setup two lagnuages as in menus and i dont want to go every time to settings to change there!

system > preferences > keyboard

then click on the layout tab and select the one you want

ok slowly mate , i think you mean layout options!!! so what do i do there?

Go to System>Pref>Keyboard.
Click the Layout tab.
Click the Add button (if you haven't already) to add the layouts you desire (e.g. English and Russian)
Click the "Other Options" button.
Click the "Layout Switching" triangle.
Enable the box next to "Alt+Shift" enables switching.
