strange problem with wallpaper

hi everyone
i have a problem with my desktop background
no matter what picture i chose even one that works before my wallpaper doesn't change as you can see in the p/s i have a picture selected and my wallpaper stay on solid color with no image
but when i do login i see the wallpaper for 3 sec and then it change again to solid color

I had that happen the other day when nautilus crashed, I rebooted, and the prolem was fixed.

i found the answer you need to enter to gconf-editor and then to
/
apps
desktop
gnome
background

and mark the V in the draw_background
