Hello,

I've just installed 9.04 and everything's working fast, smooth and fine except the visual effects (great, isn't it?).

After even enabling ATI's propertiary drivers, it refuses me to enable the "extra" option in the Visual Effects tab, something that I could do in Ubuntu 8.10...

Any help is appreciated. :(

Strange. Is the option just greyed out? Have you considered installing Compiz?... the full version? I can't remember what its called... not in front of a linux computer presently.

i suggest you dont use the enable proprietary drivers button.
just go to the ATI drivers webpage and download your driver and install it using

sudo sh
