Hello,

I just want to throw out a brief idea. I am a netbook owner, and have allocated all of my space where I would like it to go. Right now I have wubi under WinXP, and for convenience sake I don't want to get rid of the recovery partition for my MSI Wind, nor my 0SX.

Question: Is the new Wubi optimized for netbooks? Could it be?

Not to my knowledge, I haven't checked out Wubi for a while but it didn't support suspend to RAM which I consider important on a netbook but that might have changed.

That said, you could install Jaunty with wubi then install the UNR meta-package ubuntu-netbook-remix

That sounds good for now. I am a little unexcited that I won't be getting ext4 speeds, but will make do.

Does anyone know if wubi for netbook remix will ever be an option? For me it is the only option if I am going to be able to get Ubuntu on my wife's netbook.
