Sorry, if this is the wrong section to post this. Moderators - please move it to appropriate section.

1. Ask your network administrator to add this line when issueing To: ALL_STAFFS email on virus alert.

Windows users are hereby warned for ......
Linux users need not worry on this occassion.

2. Whenever a product representative call you, ask him/her - how much does it cost for linux version?

3. Examine each hardware in local electronic store and ask the salespeople (who are usually dumb) what do you have to do to make it work under Linux.

4. When somebody wants to borrow your laptop, gladly lend him with Linux log on screen opened (and watch the expression on his face).

5. When your friend forwards you virus warning, just reply saying "I use Linux so please send me these stuffs anymore".

6. Print a Linux upgrade poster on the door of your dept. with the word FREE highly visible.

7. When your colleague crashes his comptuer and ask you how to retrieve the files from his hard disk, just gladly boot his comptuer from Linux live CD and copy the files into an USB disk which he can plug anywhere. And let see how he vows to install Linux on his hard drive.

Please add some more......

Nice ideas. Unfortunately the salesmen at my local computershop have no idea what Linux is. Some think it is a game, others think it is a dumbed down version of Windows. Gah...

And the best way to impress people with Linux is to solve a problem with it. Like how I recovered data from a crashed Windows system with Knoppix.

I just bought a new keyboard and mouse (both wireless), as I myselfe have never owned anything wireless (besides a remote control) since I used to lack faith in the technology I had to ask the salesperson "does this need any drivers to work, you see I dont use windows", suprisingly he sais "for windows there are drivers on the disk, but there are other drivers that come with Linux distros", I was almost shocked.
It feels good to know people know what linux is
