Example: Paintings, Computer Rendered Abstract stuff, Anime, whatever.

Really a general question, but heh.

Me? I like that awesome art inside NFO files. You know, the stuff that only looks good in Terminal font. Youd be suprised how... Awesome it is :P

Music is considered an art. I consider it to be my favorite kind of art.

Xequence you mean ASCII art I assume? It is AWESOME and I was very surprised at how talented some people are at it. I like computer generated for the most part it blows my mind what kind of things technology can do.

My absolute favorite type of art? The written word. Be it a song, a slam poem, a haiku, or a short story, I love writing. At a close second comes music.

Music and literature are definately high up on the list. I also enjoy comic book art, particularly the work of Roman Dirge, Jhonen Vasquez and similar artists.

being a music teacher, i guess that makes music my default choice of favorite arts, but it feels more like a career than something i would refer to as 'favorite'. beside music, the visual arts (painting, photography) are my favorite. film is a mix for me. there are films that i can get totally lost in, while most of the rest i can do without.

i thought the original question concerned visual arts, so my favorite stuff is those whacko dutch still lifes. they had a way with rotting fruit and dead fish.

Landscape paintings or lansdcape photos or landscape digital art. Ever since I saw the Lord of the Rings I have been mesmerized by landscapes, especially sunsets and sunrises. I love em.. Even stormy skies do it for me, too.

Yes, to a point I mean ASCII. Ive always thought NFOs to be a bit different then ASCII though. And also, there is some awesome computer generated abstract stuff I like on deviant art. Also, theres another site, but I forget what it is right now.

And I love music, and someone pointed out thats art.

Examples of great NFO art:

For me it really depends on the day. I always enjoy music, any style, especially if it has a good guitarist playing.

I also enjoy literature, painting, and dancing with my two toddler daughters.

I love all art, especially visual arts (paintings, etc) and the written word (books!).

But most of all, I love a delicious mix of the two: comics.

I would like to say music, but right now the borders between he various disciplines have been blurred. I like what Kim Gascone calls "The aesthetics of failure".
Other bits and pieces:
Expressionist woodcuts
Baroque music (especially Henry Purcell)
Medieval miniatures
Dutch poetry from the 50s
Haikus
And so on.
