View Full Version : [ubuntu] Wifi dongle that works in Intrepid 64bit?

I'm sure many would work, but is there a "best working/most compatible" chipset out there that gives the best performance?

My PCI wireless card died last week, and I had to make a run to Fry's from work. I decided I wanted a USB one this time. I didn't know which USB dongles were linux compatible, so I went with my "the cheapest one is most likely" theory of linux compatibility and bought a Trendnet TEW-424UB which auto-detected and worked, but seems to disconnect every day or two, sometimes more. Nothing a quick unplug and replug can't fix, but also something I'm not resigning myself to. Does anyone know of a cheap USB wifi (g) dongle that not only has been known to work, but that works well in 64bit Intrepid?
