Hi all !

I got a problem : all my videos are blinking, but the sound is ok
I can use VLC, Mplayer, or totem, the results is the same, it's blinking black 1 image on two

My graphic card is "ATI Technologies Inc Radeon Mobility X1400"
I have enabled the property drivers. It said that those drivers has been tested by the Ubuntu developpers.

"This driver is activated and currently used" it says, aside a green logo

What can I do ?
Thx

EDIT : see answers below

I just tried to disable the driver, and try with a video. I got the exact same thing. Maybe it don't has something to do with the driver ...?

with it enabled, try and change your video output mode to one of the others. this can be done in different ways for different players. just try it with vlc or gmplayer. i dont know what the default video out will be but try gl, gl2, x11 whatever. see what works for you.

You may also have to turn desktop effects off

I will try to do the 2 things you told me, once I have reboot (for the driver to be back), and once I have find out how to do them ;)

EDIT : well, i have turned desktop effects off and it's working ! Woohoo !

try to update your video card through "hardware drivers" , seemed to work for me!

System -> Preferences -> Appearance then look under the Visual Effects tab and switch it to None. That has fixed the problem for me in the past.
