I'm kind of over my head.
I've had Ubuntu server running well without any problems for months. Yesterday I tried to install VitualBox and everything looked fine but after creating a virtual client it said something like the "virtualbox kernel module has not been loaded please install general module"
After installing the latest version from the package updater I had to reboot and after reboot and seeing the ubuntu splash screen it says:
"
Starting up ...
Loading, please wait...
Chack root= bootarg cat /proc/cmdline
or missing modules, devices: cat /proc/modules ls/dev
ALERT! /dev/disk/by-uuid/3000b817-e90d-4d82-4e7d9b7577a1 does not exist. Dropping to a shell!

BusyBox v1.1.3 (debian 1:1.1.1-6ubuntu12) Built-in shell (ash)
Enter 'help' for a list of built-in commands.

(initramfs)
"

I read some posts and I will try to find the install cd and see if I see my old installation in GRUB- is that the best approach? I don't want to go down the wrong path since I'm swimming in really deep water...
