Problem!

Hey,

I have this problem on my dell studio 15 laptop, and i dont know weather it is a bug or what...

What it is, on ubuntu's desktop when i press "FN+the up arrow cursor on keyboard to turn up the lighting ubuntu goes funny and everything freezes, for example- all the menu wont work and i cont right click and i have to restart because it all freezes and i cant do anything!

3gb ram
ati 3400 graphics card
250gb HDD
