Given all the warning about intel graphics cards and Jaunty I've held off upgrading my laptop until today. However, I finally took the plunge and haven't spotted any problems yet. But the best bit is that my thinkpad finally resumes from suspend properly. It worked fine with Dapper and every release up to but not including Hardy, but once the new intel driver rather than the old i810 started to be used by default I had problems. I solved them in Hardy by going back to the i810 driver, but that wasn't possible with Intrepid, and nothing I tried resulted in a successful resume from suspend. Anyway, I'm pleased to say everything appears to 'just work' with Jaunty. This is the graphics chip for anyone interested:
