Mythbox wont play my music

i cant seem to be able to play any music on rytmbox it keeps freezing and i have to force quit the program does anyone know how 2 fix this ?

It is weird that soemtimes my songs do play on Rhythmbox and sometimes it doesn't. Maybe if we use an alternative like VLC: http://www.videolan.org/vlc/download-ubuntu.html The songs might work on that media player.
