Recently discovered the joys of the excellent DeVeDe on Ubuntu. I decided to encode one of my .avi files to DVD with a simple menu. I've never done this before, but it seemed pretty straightforward and simple to do. However, I'm noticing on my completed DVD that on certain scenes large blocks appear on screen to warp the picture, that just aren't present when watching the .avi file. The blocks always seem to appear at the same bit. It doesn't matter which media player I use, it looks the same.
Are there some settings I ought to try in order to get rid of this phenomenon? I tried selecting NTSC instead of PAL and it made no difference. Ditto scaling the picture and deinterlacing etc. I'm not very clued up on this, so if you could help that would be great!
Thanks all. :)
