Why does my Dell Vostro 1510 system freeze then the CAPS LOCK and SCROLL LOCK blink?

Hey

I have a problem Ive never seen before. Using the latest public nonbeta release of Ubuntu, sometimes my system freezes but the Caps Lock and Scroll Lock start to blink and stay blinking. My display stays on what I was on but I cant do anything except press the power button for 3 secs and turn off the laptop. What is wrong?

Hey I had the same Problem with my XPS M12010.....
But I know exactly that the Restricted Graphic Driver caused that at least on my System.....I rolled back to a previous version of that Driver and never had a problem any more.....

This has never happened. Maybe in a system update nVidia updated their drivers and that screwed it up.

On a side note, Im going to update to 9.04 on Thursday and see how tihs goes.
