Hi all
I have recently bought this notebook which came with Ubuntu 8.10 OS factory installed. I have never used Ubuntu before and i am having a hard time getting used to it. I would like to uninstall Ubuntu completely and install a fresh copy of Windows XP. Now how do i do this?
Any help would be much appreciated
Thank you

To install XP over the top simply stick in an XP install CD and overwrite all the partitions with an XP one.
Word of warning:
My friend recently bought a new dell laptop and he wanted to install several OS on it.
It came with Vista which worked fine, he isntalled Ubuntu on it which worked fine.
The problem came with XP, some of the hardware drivers had no XP versions, I would check that the hardware (like net cards and so on) have drivers for XP before you start.

thanks for the reply danwood76. So what do u suggest, should i install Windows Vista on this notebook (T6400 2.0 Ghz, 2GB DDR2, 250GB Hard disk) which will solve the problem without any hassle?
@forestpixie .. I will do exactly that next time. Thanks

I think the main issue we had when installing XP were the wifi drivers, also XP is nearing end of life (it was going to die a few years ago).
Vista will run fine on that laptop, I think you can get a copy of vista now that has an upgrade liscence for when windows 7 comes out at the end of the year.
(7 is much faster and better than vista)
The alternative is to give Ubuntu a chance ;).
