Hey all..

I recently installed Epidermis and now have some problems with it.. I want to uninstall it to try all over again. Problem is, I can't seem t uninstall it..

I've tried reinstalling from the debian package and manually removing ~/.local/share/epidermis/

Any help?

Also, Epidermis does not show up in the Add/Remove thingy in applications..

Could you tell us what version of ubuntu and epidermis you are using? Also have you looked into the synaptic package manager?

I' using 0.2.3 (not update) on a 32bit 8.10.. Yes, and Epidermis does not show in synaptic

Ok, Have you tried sudo apt-get remove epidermis, Sorry if it sounds noobish. If that does not remove it then it could be a bug, since 0.2.3 still pretty new. you can report it here (https://launchpad.net/epidermis/+filebug)

Okay.. That removes the menu entry, but when I do a new install it still has the same error at startup.. It's like it remembers its previous state?

Update:

I have now been able to have a fresh install with no errors at startup. This enabled me to start over..

The problem i'm having is that the program stops at the point where it is supposed to install the skin of the theme..

It has just stopped with no progress for the last 20 min

Are you still using 0.2.3? maybe try a older version meanwhile. Ill try to get Flimm the programmer over here today.

I tried using 0.2.2 instead of 0.2.3 and this does not seem to have problems..
