Hi people,
Using Ubuntu 8.04 Linux on my old portable and cannot log in, as no matter what I do with screen setup, the Search Box obscures the Name box!
I faked it by requesting a lost password and this bypassed the problem by auto login!.
-------------
My main box is out-of-action - trojan infection - despite massive A.V protection efforts. I HAVE to use Windows as there is no way to use my vital program DRagonDictate. :-(
-------------
All other aspects of display on my 15" Sony work perfectly, except for two things:
1. This problem
2. In Gmail all heading boxes have a horizontal black line through the name.???

I can't think of anything else to try - so would appreciate ANY ideas as to have to rejoin every time I want to log in.....

Summary:
I need to be able to move the Search Box on the Ubuntu Site Login!! ):P

This is a well known problem with the forums, To get around the problem, I leave firefox's default font size (about 12 point) until I have logged in, then put a check mark in the remember me checkbox. I then set Firefox's font size to something I can actually read.

Alternatively, instead of going to http://ubuntuforums.org/ , go to http;//ubuntuforums.org/usercp.php . The login box is much more visible, and you must log in before visiting that page.

Hi Jim,
THANKS!
Why,oh why do people persist in using this BB program - AND actually paying for it??
There are much better ones out there free - in accord with the principles behind UBUNTU!!! ;)
