svg not displayed properly in Ubutntu preview

Hey guys,

I created an svg in Inkscape, which I want to use as a desktop icon.
However as an icon, and also when viewed with the ubuntu default image viewer it is not displayed properly. Some shapes with gradient fill are missing. In Inkscape and Firefox everything is displayed properly. I attached a screenshot showing the proper appearance in Firefox and the wrong look in the ubuntu image viewer and the svg file.

It is a problem with GNOME's svg rendering. Have you tried saving it as a plain SVG rather than an Inkscape SVG?
