HI all. I've searched through google. tying to fix the firefox's flash audio problem
(it play sound through oss, not alsa, them other process can't make a sound. when flashplugin has loaded)

I've tried "aoss firefox" but it won't start firefox. other program are OK. like the CD Player.

and found there is a File called "/etc/firefox/firefoxrc" can set it.

but I'm not using an In-build firefox, but instead of a lastest version from mozilla's site. it's a tar.gz file not a package. so I don't have /etc/firefox/firefoxrc.

I've tired to search a file named firefoxrc in my firefox folder /usr/local/firefox
but it's no go.

so I came here for help.

Novice here. Had the same problem. I was advised to look at the Comprehensive Multimedia & Video Howto (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=766683).

Somewhere in that I found the solution.
