View Full Version : Email Notifications Not Working Properly

When I get an email notification, it always says, "There may also be other replies, but you will not receive any more notifications until you visit the forum again," which is the way it should work.

This is not working properly. I get instant email notifications for every single post whether I've visited the forum or not. My UF folder gets full very fast with redundant emails.

I'd really appreciate it if it could be fixed.

Ah? I do not see anything wrong with your account settings.
When you are logged in, you should receive an email for each reply in a subscribed thread. When you are logged out, you should receive a message for the first reply to a subscribed thread.

Would you remain logged in for some reason? The software should log you out after some inactivity time (I do not remember the time frame).

I never log out. Perhaps the software failed to log me out for a couple of days. It's working fine today though. I only received 4 new emails last night instead of 80. How typical though. The problem always disappears when the pros come in. :)

Only by your suggestion! But, even before that, it worked last night before I even read your post. Did you log me out or did the forum log me out automatically?

Nevertheless, you did do something. You responded to my post and informed me! I thank you for that!

Thanks for that too! I think I've received the positive brain waves! They're very nice.
