"Streaming" sound from an application to Skype w/ one sound card.

So basicly, I want to "stream" sound from a music player (such as Totem, Rhythmbox, etc.) to Skype. I've tried JACK or whatever, but it was confusing, and I couldn't hear anything. If anyone could help me set up jack or suggest another app that does what I'm looking for.
