Global menu problem with ubuntu 8.10?

hi i was trying to get mac osx leopard view in my ubuntu 8.10 but in the gloabal menu part i encouter this problem whenever i try to add to the panel:

The panel encountered a problem while loading "OAFIID:GNOME_GlobalMenuApplet".

i press don't delete
any help?

more info on what you have done, how you did it and what you are trying to do please.

this is not really art related problem. more like window decorator or just a good question for the absolute beginner's section of the forum (which is basically where almost all support questions are asked and answered.
