i pressed a button (i forgot which) to paint fire on the screen. what button do i press to turn it off again?
and what button do i press to use it?

SUPER+SHIFT+DRAG LEFT MOUSE = draw fire
SUPER+SHIFT+C = clear fire

i changed the buttons to press but when i try it it wont work.

Go into the paint fire settings in Compiz Settings Manager and see what you changed it to.

what buttons did you changed and how? you can always reset them under the fire settings

i know i changed them to, but when i pressed those buttons, it didnt work
and do i have to have initiate (button) enabled?

Try changing it to another sequence of key strokes.

Yeah if you want to use it. And you need a "Clear" key enabled to erase it.
