Hi All,
With 9.04 just a few days away I just want to ask about the new ext4 file system. I hear it will allow much faster boot times and I am intending to select it when I am installing. Now my question...
I have a /home partition which is very useful for fresh installs every 6 months! If I change this (and my root partition) to ext4 is this effectively a complete re-format of my disc so anything in /home will be gone?
If that is the case, can I just 'copy and paste' in a back-up of my /home partition after install or are there other issues I should be aware of?
Thanks!
