automatic thread subscription. is it possibble?

on a few of the other forums i post @ the threads i make a post in "auto subscribe" in my CP. is there an option to turn this on on these forums? it would be great for me as im not exactly making posts and helping others as of yet, but learning alot of different things.

"Default Thread Subscription Mode," set it to anything other than "Do not subscribe" and it will be selected by default when you make new threads or replies.

i tried, don't email, and daily email.
