I have some troubles with HDMI. Let me explain what is going on.
I have a HP Compaq EVO D310 2.5 GHz with 1 Gb ram. I have add a AGP nVidia 6200 256MB with DVI, to connect my PC to a Philips Full HD FlatTV (HDMI). I use a TT-budget® C-1501 (DVB-C) to watch/record TV (Caiway, The Netherlands, No HD quality TV).
When I install my PC with Mythbuntu 8.10 (front- and back-end) using the Nvidia 1.77 drivers and first using the TV-out (S-video) to connect to my FlatTV(S-video). I configure the guide info, TV channels and for now I’m ready.
When I start the front-end to watch some TV I get excellent TV images. Also the recorded TV Images (MPEG) are excellent.
And now the BUT…
When I install it all over again, use the DVI instead of TV-OUT (DVI to HDMI cable) I get crapy TV images and even the recoding sucks. Playing the recorded TV (from TV-OUT) gives excellent images.
Who can tell me what could be wrong or what did I forget???
