how can i change the screen resoulution on lotro out side of lotro or how can i fix the error that says

"The game encountered a fatal DirectX issue while attempting to start.
Try a different screen resolution or screen depth. If that doesn't work, try new video drivers. [128] "

plz do not send me a link to http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=386480&page=192

Wouldn't have anything to do with this (http://ubuntuforums.org/showpost.php?p=7001469&postcount=3) would it.

If you'd browsed the long thread (even back a dozen pages or so), you would have found most of the answers to the questions you were asking. If you'd have following the advice in this (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=885111) thread (the other one I pointed you towards) as well then maybe you'd have gotten a better response. PMing me asking me for support is another big no-no (I guess the Code of Conduct (http://ubuntuforums.org/index.php?page=policy) was too long to read as well).

You are getting errors relating to video/directx, what have you told us about what graphics card you have, what version of wine you are running, etc? Absolutely nothing, people are prepared to help people who put in a bit of effort. I pointed you in the direction of places containing advice, you threw them back in my face. Would you help someone who did that to you?

Note to mods, sorry about having to say this in public but there is a growing trend of people who want support handed to them on a plate without them having to do anything themselves. As someone who tries to help when he can it gets rather frustrating.
