Hi guys. About 2 weeks ago I brought a Toshiba L300 Satellite Pro with Windows Vista for university. Using it was fine but, just the other day, I heard the news that Microsoft have decided to ditch Vista for Windows 7. That to me was very discouraging. So, my question is, would Ubuntu comfortably install on my laptop? It has a media card reader and wireless, webcam and microphone, all of which I use. Would Ubuntu have the drivers for these?

Thanks.

Hi

Best plan is to download the desktop .iso file, burn it to a CD and then run the "live" disk to see if all your hardware works. This does not affect your hard drive at all as it runs all off the CD - it will be a bit slow but should allow you to test everything before installing anything.

I have a A200 which works fine with the live CD (but I have not yet installed it on that PC (also Vista!)
