Hi

I just wiped an old pc with 2 hard drives with DBAN

Ive installed ubuntu intrepid on one and i want to use the other as a store/media drive.

That drive is unformatted so how do I format it? Will ubuntu be able to "see" it then?

Thanks

ps NOT a dual boot obviously sorry

open system -> administration -> partition editor. this program can format the drive. after format, the drive should be visible in your file manager

The Partition Editor is not installed by default.

If you go to System --> Administration --> Synaptic Package Manager, select GParted and install it. That is the Gnome Partition Editor.
