Hi,
I tried creating a new post under "Other OS Talk" > "Slackware" but could not create one. I had some Slackware related queries.
IS it that now new posts are being accepted in the above forum?
Regards,

The other os forums have been moved off site due to server issues: http://grubbn.org/otheros/

You can also post in the General Help section of the forums, since Other OS Talk was closed we have had an [otherOS] tag for threads :)

Any plans to move the forum back in here? It would be great to have it back so that this forum becomes the one shop stop for all linux/unix.

Not at the moment, we felt it would be nice to give the respective communities some members back ;)
An admin should be able to give a better response than I can :)

That's a nice way of saying we don't really need/want you here ;)

Well take it whichever way you want to. Personally I wouldn't have minded it staying open, but I can also see the logic behind closing it :)

This is Ubuntu-forums.. not all linux/unix, there are already too much of those.

A possible suggestion.
It might be time to remove the "other_os" tag/prefix from new threads as it probably gives people the false impression that they could post support request about other operating systems or distros here.
I know this was initially created when Other OS Talk was closed down but the prevailing mood seems to indicate that it is no longer required.
