A proxy is your best bet. Look into Tor and Privoxy.

Check out YourFreedom at www.your-freedom.net (http://www.your-freedom.net). You use it to transfer all your online business through a proxy server. Obviously, if you use a server in another country, that server's ip address is used instead of yours.

okay, thank you everyone, but what if I use system preferences proxy network? wouldn't that be the same like using tor or any other proxy application?
I have been doing some research on proxy servers, I find the free ones rarely work so I think I'm going to give up on using proxy.
