I switched to KDE environment now I don’t know where to find Synaptic or its equivalent, how can I put my computer icon on desktop.

I can't recall exactly what package manager is used in Kubuntu but you could always
sudo apt-get install synaptic
IMHO synaptic is far superior to what is shipped in Kubuntu so if I was going to use a graphical package manager that is what I used in Kubuntu

K-Menu --> Applications --> System --> Package Manager (Adept)
