View Full Version : [ubuntu] Having Problems With Themes

I recently loaded intrepid (8.10) on my machine and I have Compiz and Emerald running (...I hope to eventually get Kiba-Dock working but, one step at a time heh?) but every time I download a theme that looks awesome then apply it, the window bar changes but the stuff within the window stays a horrible grey...

Also the buttons don't seem to want to change either :(

So my question is, how do I change the disgusting grey bits? (scroll bars, file menus, buttons, that sort of thing)

Thanks,

:guitar:

Well there are always GTK Themes that would give you more of an overall change that you seem to be looking for. download a mixture of stuff and play around and customise in Appearance until you get what you want.

Don't mean to hijack this thread but how do I install the GTK themes?

http://www.gnome-look.org/

download the theme you want and put in in the '.themes' folder, then it should be an option in 'Appearance'
