Is there any way by which we can directly upgrade 8.04 to 9.04?
Any help will be appreciated!
Thanks in advance....:)

If the upgrade cycle follows what it has been, then no, you'll have to either upgrade to 8.10 then 9.04, or do a fresh install, I could be wrong but thats they way it usually is

I agree. Update from 8.04 to 8.10 first via update manager: Then upgrade to 9.04 (http://www.ubuntugeek.com/upgrade-ubuntu-810-intrepid-ibex-to-ubuntu-904-jaunty-jackalope-beta.html).

That is correct. The only time when you can skip an upgrade is when upgrading from a Long Term Support (LTS) to another LTS.
