Choose Burn Image to Disc

An open dialogue will appear.

Under Files of Type, select Image Files and find your Ubuntu ISO.

See attached images for more details.

Good info. No matter what the situation. If it's an ISO use disk image burn.

Also... maybe this is just me... but I always burn at the slowest speed possible. Burning a large, full disc at 48x or whatever, usually gives me problems... something to do with the slight wobble at the edges of a fast spinning disc, and, as data is written from the middle to the edge, errors occur when burning a full cd.

this is where you'll find the option in "avdanced" mode.

I've merged this with the HowTo on Nero and ISOs in the Tutorials and Tips section.

Let Absolute Beginner stay as a support forum.

I always got to file, burn image, and then my ubuntu download. BUT make sure that when the last dialogue box comes up that you select disc at once, or it won't work. by default, mine always goes to track at once, and if I forget to change it, oops, wasted cd

Or instead of using Nero, you could use a simple program like ImgBurn to do so. Small download, free, and quick burn speeds. No hassle of configuring, defaults work just fine when burning ISOs.
