I am trying to share my EVDO card connection over LAN. I know I should be able to do it. I have gotten it to share over WiFi on a different laptop. I saw this post:

http://jeremy.visser.name/2009/03/24/simple-internet-connection-sharing-with-networkmanager/

So I installed dnsmasq, but still no luck. Unfortunately the step 2 in that link is less than helpful. I also installed DHCP server to see if tht would make a difference. The best I get is a connection that lasts 1 second, and the it shows disconnected again.

I am running Jaunty Beta 32 bit.

Thanks in advance,
hal

The easiest way I have found to share a net connection is to follow the firestarter turorial:

Thanks for the link. I was really hoping that Network Manager would handle it. This is one thing that windows has figured out. The management tool should be able to handle this without installing extra pieces or configuring one piece at a time.
