Ventrilo, not a sound problem

ok, i can't seem to install ventrilo. every time i do install it the install pops up fpor a spilt second , hits 100% and disappears.

while i did manage to use anither progarm to "install" it didn't make it work.

wat can i do to make it install?

I got ventrilo working the first time I tried to install it.
First I downloaded and installed WINE (google it) then I downloaded ventrilo
after the download was finished I right clicked on the ventrilo icon on the desktop and clicked on "open with wine"
worked fine for me, no problem ubuntu 8.1

lucky, well it didn't for me, and yes i have wine, i'm also using wow.
