Today I saw in someone's signature a note that said if you find something helpful, click the gold star in the right hand corner.

I do not see any gold stars anywhere...

Did I misunderstand or am i blind?

AFAIK, There's a function like that on Microsoft message boards. Dunno about here, though.

This function along with the solved button are currently not available as they were causing problems.

There used to be a button that would give thanks to the person helping you, but they removed it during the last forum update.
