MythTV gallery auto scan for new files...how?

How can I "refresh" the gallery?

I am copying files to /var/lib/mythtv/videos/
This is so they will show up here:
Media Library-->Watch Videos


However, the video manager does not search for new files automatically or in real time. So, I have to go here first...
Utilities/Setup-->Video Manager


How can I have it automatically search? Maybe a cron job?

There is an option in myth to show all files even if they haven't been indexed by the video manager. Forget where it is, but try under media option in the setp-up menus.

Just a quick note.

Just beware that if you have a lot of videos, this slows down the 'Watch Videos' menu quite a bit. On mine, with just 30 videos or so, it adds 1-2s delay to the Gallery appearing. Not much, but sometimes enough to be mildy annoying.
