i've browsed the forums and found a few civ 4 original posts already, but none really seen to answer the question of how to get it to work. they simply recommend visiting wine website. i've done that and the only thing the wine website suggests to do is download the no cd crack. well the no cd crack doesnt seem to be working for me. i read the help file, and it mentions mounting the cd with deamon tools, but daemon tools is for windows, and i don't want to do something that can't be undone without consult.
here's the error i get, after installing civ 4, updating to 1.09, and replacing the exe file with the no cd exe file, and trying to run it,
"error locating tag node in SetGlobalClassInfo function, current XML file is: GameInfo/Civ4PlayerOptionsInfos.xml" then i get the exact same error a second time.
