I just ordered a Pangolin Performance for my Mom. She likes using Ubuntu on my Daru1 and on another computer I put 8.04 on.

Now, where's the S76 netbook? I really mean it!

They've had some issues getting it working correctly.

Keep your eye on the site. We're releasing a net-top, which is pretty interesting. And wait till you see the price.

I hope it'll be soon. I'm leaving town next week, and it would be nice to have a netbook to take with me.

The eeePC works just fine with Ubuntu netbook remix. I installed 8.10 on a co-workers eeePC 900 series. There is even a flavor of ubuntu netbook remix made just for the eeePC.

I imagine S76s will be better

Jeez! Just ordered the dell mini 9!

If the website gets update quickly, and the price is right... maybe I can cancel my order. We all know Dell takes forever to ship.

The Meerkat Nettop (http://system76.com/product_info.php?cPath=27&products_id=91) has arrived and looks great.

Is the optional CD-RW / DVD-RW an internal or external drive?

Have you tested it with 720p LCD TVs? I have heard of resolution problems with Ubuntu and LCD TVs and really want to connect the Meerkat to my 20" Vizio in the kitchen.

No, we haven't.
So far, we've only tested with a 1280x1024 monitor and a 1440x900 monitor.

It's a internal slimline CD-RW/DVD-RW drive.
