yeah i also have this problem with me....some time ago i also had forgotton my password...there is no tool for recovery as Ubuntu is very secure and provides no help regarding that...Ultimately i removed it and installed XP again!!!

Actually, people complain that it is too easy to reset a password in ubuntu with physical access. It is easier than in Windows XP. The original poster needs to reset his router password, though, not his ubuntu password.

Most routers have a reset button you press and hold the button for 30 seconds or so.

Google search your router if you no longer have the documentation that came with it.

Then disable remote access and set a stronger password.
