Would you Recommend. Prefer to use Newgg so any links to Newegg cards would be nice. Tried a Hauppage wintv-hvr-1800 with no luck. It stated I had no tuners. I assume I didnt have to have an antenna attached for the box to recognize the card. Also I can use the second DVI Out with a DVI - HDMI cable on an Nvidia 7900GTX if not could I use a 8800 GT to do this. I am trying to get a simple rig that will work with an off air antenna seen here

Check out http://www.linuxtv.org/wiki/index.php/Main_Page to see which devices are supported. Just bear in mind that this isn't entirely up to date and some devices that are listed as not working/experimental support do work.

Per http://www.linuxtv.org/wiki/index.php/Hauppauge_WinTV-HVR-1800 the 1800 does work, so not sure why it wasn't on your system.

You may however struggle to get digital TV working with a desktop aerial unless you live on top of the transmitter.

I think the guy selling it to me on Ebay might have been wrong on the model number but he was nice enough to take it back. I ordered a HVR 1250 from Amazon last night...should be here thursday. thanks for the link and I do happen to live near a tower so lets hope.
