View Full Version : [ubuntu] Network applet with support for both a static wired IP and mobile broadband?

I'm looking for a way to have my computer support both a static IP for its wired connection, which doesn't really work in NetworkManager (every reboot it resets "auto eth0" to system default settings, including using DHCP), and mobile broadband devices, which don't work in Wicd (a friend recommended I use this when I mentioned my problem with NM). Are there any other prominent applets that can do what I'm looking for? Or a way to fix NM so it handles my wired connection properly?

Thanks,
W

I can't really help you but I just asked a similar question and I think the reply would help you as it helped me.
